Speaker: Dr. David Birdsong, University of Texas at Austin Department of French & Italian

Description:  David Birdsong (Professor of French and Italian at the University of Texas at Austin) explores why different individuals achieve such wildly different levels of proficiency in studying a second language, particularly whether it matters at what age one begins studying a second language.  His research relates to the study of language education, psychology, aging, learning science, and the study of motivation.
