Title: Circuit and Algorithm Design to Enable Edge Intelligence

Abstract:
The objective of the proposed research is to explore circuit and algorithm designs to enable next-generation edge intelligence. In this proposal, "edge intelligence" will be discussed in depth and state-of-art research/industrial technologies will be reviewed. Then, demonstrations of "edge intelligence" will be elaborated on previous published works, to provide examples on how the design challenges are addressed. Further, an end-to-end wireless edge intelligence SoC design will be proposed as remaining work to investigate. Outlines of hardware implementation, supported algorithms and control methodologies will be discussed, and timeline to complete chip design, fabrication, integration and measurements will be provided.
