On September 4, Georgia Tech dedicated a sculpture series commemorating the first three African American matriculants and the first African American graduate of the Institute.

Just one year ago, Provost Rafael L. Bras, armed with an idea and funding from Georgia Tech alumnus Francis S. “Bo” Godbold, IE 1965, began to think of a sculpture concept that would bring the journey of the four men to life.
