Celebrate Tech Traditions at T-Night

Primary tabs

Whether you’ve been a Yellow Jacket your whole life or arrived on campus for the first time this week, Traditions Night will prepare you to join the Georgia Tech community.

On Sunday, Aug. 25, the Ramblin’ Reck Club will host its annual Traditions Night, also known as T-Night. The night will be held in two parts. At 6 p.m., festivities will commence with Traditions Fest, which features interactive activities in Callaway Plaza to educate the Georgia Tech community about traditions. There will be free Georgia Tech swag, and free food and treats will be provided by Atlanta culinary favorites such as Waffle House and King of Pops.

"Georgia Tech is one of the best academic schools in the country, but it also has some of the quirkiest and most fun traditions on any college campus,” said Marissa Klee, T-Night committee chair and a chemical and biomolecular engineering major. “Whether you’re looking forward to racing on tricycles during homecoming or learning the lyrics to our legendary fight songs, come celebrate Georgia Tech’s legacy and spread school spirit across campus at Traditions Night.”

At 7 p.m., the T-Night Show kicks off in Bobby Dodd Stadium to celebrate Tech traditions with the Georgia Tech Band and the Athletic Association. While sharing these traditions is largely aimed at the incoming first-year class, all members of the Tech community, including faculty and staff, are invited to attend.

Other event sponsors include Tiff’s Treats, Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry’s, Gusto, and Wing Zone.
