Abstract:
The objective of the proposed research is to introduce a backward compatible Cooperative Multipath Communication architecture that improves spectrum efficiency while maintaining flexible and resilient connectivity. In the architecture, the nodes cooperate to harvest any available bandwidth and remain connected by dynamically exploring fast and reliable links. The Internet is expanding, and the number of individuals connected is rapidly increasing. The 5G wireless technology promises several Gbps, massive connectivity with very low latency. 5G does not address the deficiencies of the conventional network architecture in routing, network addressing, multipath communication and sequencing.
