Primary tabs

Students are the heartbeat of the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC). They employ over 350 students to not only keep the lights on for more than 115 hours every week but to help provide top notch programming and services.  The National Student Employment Association (NSEA) designates one week each year for universities and colleges across the country to recognize the substantial contributions of students who work on campus. The CRC is proud to recognize our students for all they do every day. From graphic designers to lifeguards each student is an integral part of the CRC and the CRC full-time professional staff wanted to say thank you for your hard work each and every day serving the Georgia Tech community. Check out some of the reasons why the CRC appreciates their student staff below!

Jon Hart, assistant director of facilities and operations said, “I am thankful for my student employees because they truly are the Heart and Soul of our Department. They continuously and effortlessly rise to greatness and exhume excellence and quality service.”

“They constantly impress me with their desire to help others. They take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in the workplace in a variety of capacities that move Georgia Tech forward,” said Nathan Randall, aquatic operations and risk manager.

Graphic designer, Edward Garrity’ s students impact Georgia Tech by, “helping to make student and community health and well-being appealing and exciting to students who otherwise might not take their well-being into consideration during their busy schedules. The students make it possible to provide exceptional designs in order to increase awareness of these events and in turn, increase participation.”

Tahlia Pate, aquatics coordinator and staff development said her students support the CRC, “by making the safety of every patron a priority. They teach me to approach things in ways I could never think of myself.”

“My students support the CRC by maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for our patrons! They bring unique perspectives and ideas that enhance the CRC and Georgia Tech as a whole,” said facilities coordinator, Katelyn Voorhees.

“Every student employee of the CRC has made a lasting impression through their hard work and dedication.  My students constantly impress me with their desire to help others,” said aquatic and fitness coordinator Stephanie Belcher.
