Advanced Strengths Workshop: Use Your Top 5 to Land Your Next Opportunity

Primary tabs

The spring semester is coming to a close, which means, for many students, it’s time to start looking for summer employment or for employee’s opportunities to further your professional development. Understanding your strengths from a professional lens can give you a big advantage in this process. To gain this insight, many students and employees have taken the CliftonStrengths assessment. If you’ve already taken this assessment, but are still struggling with understanding how best to leverage your strengths Health Initiatives (HI) created a new workshop just for you!

Gallup’s CliftonStrengths is an online assessment that measures the specific order of your talents to discover what you naturally do best. Gallup research finds that people who use their CliftonStrengths are more engaged and productive at work and 3x more likely than others to have an excellent quality of life. The assessment helps you discover what makes you exceptional and how you can maximize your potential. It uncovers which talents you rely on to build relationships, think strategically, execute plans and influence others to accomplish goals.

HI health educator and creator of the workshop Elaine Miller said, “knowing your CliftonStrengths helps you speak more easily about what you excel at and how you work best. Being able to communicate your strengths effectively using more precise and clear language is the beauty of the CliftonStrengths assessment.” Join HI for an advanced hour of training to find new ways to best use your strengths to develop your greatest talents. This workshop will aid you in rethinking your strengths and strategizing the best ways to use them- helping prepare you to ace that next interview, learn to promote yourself well, and succeed in getting that job, internship, or leadership position!

All members of the Georgia Tech community who have previously taken the CliftonStrength’s assessment are invited to register for this workshop on Apr 18, from 11am-12pm, in Student Center room 322.
