Spring Break/Publix Marathon Parking & Transit

TRANSIT

Weekend Grocery Shuttle:  The Weekend Grocery Shuttle will operate as normal except on Sunday, March 17.  On this day, the bus stops along Techwood Drive, at North Avenue Apartments and at the Tech Tower will be closed due to the Publix Georgia Marathon.

All other normal bus stops will be open, plus stops open on the inbound detour route at Klaus (westbound), Nanotechnology, Couch Park, CRC/Stamps, and Ferst/Student Center.

The Grocery Shuttle operates 10:00 a.m. -5:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, arriving approximately every 60 minutes.

 

Reduced Service:

The following routes will operate using reduced schedules:   

Red Route: 7:05 a.m. – 9:50 p.m., Monday-Friday, arriving approximately every 24 minutes

Blue Route: 7:05 a.m. – 10:05 p.m., Monday-Friday, arriving approximately every 28 minutes

Green Route: Monday-Friday

  • 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. arriving approximately every 30 minutes
  • 8:00 a.m. – 6:15 p.m., arriving approximately every 15 minutes
  • 6:15 p.m. – 8:50 p.m., arriving approximately every 30 minutes

Tech Trolley: Monday - Friday

  • 5:45 a.m. – 7:10 a.m., arriving approximately every 36 minutes
  • 7: 10 a.m. – 10:35 a.m., arriving approximately every 9 minutes
  • 10:35 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., arriving approximately every 12 minutes
  • 3:30 p.m. – 6:40 p.m., arriving approximately every 9 minutes
  • 6:40 p.m. – 7:35 p.m., arriving approximately every 12 minutes
  • 7:35 p.m. – 9:15 p.m., arriving approximately every 18 minutes
  • 9:15 p.m. – 10:15 p.m., arriving approximately every 36 minutes

Saturday: 10: 00 a.m. – 6:40 p.m., arriving approximately every 36 minutes

Sunday: 3:00 p.m. – 9:50 p.m., arriving approximately every 36 minutes

 

Regular Service

The following routes will operate on their normal schedules:

Midnight Rambler: 8:55 p.m. p.m. – 3: 20 a.m., Sunday – Saturday, arriving approximately every 13 minutes

NARA/TEP Shuttle: 7:20 a.m.-6:20 p.m., Monday-Friday, arriving approximately every 20 minutes

GT-Emory Shuttle: 7:15 a.m. – 7:15 p.m., Monday-Friday, arriving approximately every 80 minutes

No Service

The Tech Square Express route will not operate during Spring Break.

Stingerette

Stingerette service will be available for rides between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. each night.  To schedule a ride, please use the Stingerette web interface, or mobile iOs or Android app, or call PTS Dispatch at 404-385-7433.  The Stingerette Paratransit service will operate using its normal schedule Monday through Friday.

 

PARKING

Normal parking regulations will be in effect during Spring Break. Please be sure that your parking permit is displayed properly to avoid citations or towing.

 

Publix Georgia Marathon (ER51 and W06 Only)

The Publix Georgia Marathon will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019.  Please move your vehicles from the following areas before Sunday at 5:00 a.m.:

 -ER51: Techwood Drive from 5th Street to North Avenue

-W06: Tech Parkway from North Avenue to Means Street/Regents Avenue

 ER51 and W06 customers who are leaving their cars on campus during Spring Break are welcome to park in open spaces within your assigned permit area. You may also call (404)385-PARK to find alternate parking.

 GTPD will be towing vehicles from these areas to clear the course for marathon participants.  Towed cars will be removed from campus and taken to A-TOW (180 Harriett St., Atlanta, GAT 30315). 
 
If you think your car has been towed, first, please go to http://ga.towedcar.com and follow the instructions.  If that does not provide the results you are searching for, please call GTPD at 404-894-2500.
