Seminar Topic:  Diverse Opportunities at Google

Abstract of Talk:
While Google is often on campus speaking to software engineering opportunities, we understand that many students may not be interested in pursuing a career that involves coding as a primary task. And that's okay! This presentation will cover some (not all) of our other non-SWE opportunities that we have for university graduates with non-CS backgrounds. We will additionally be able to offer insights as to how to best stay informed of these roles and for the most effective approach in preparing to apply for any role.

Biographical Sketches of the Speakers:
Naomi Robert is a Senior Software Engineer at Google based in Seattle and a Georgia Tech Alum! Mike Bufano has been a University Programs Specialist sitting Google's NYC office for over 5 years. In his core role, Mike works with a number of universities (including Georgia Tech) to best inform students of and prepare them for technical opportunities. In his free time, Mike works to lead the LGBTQ+ group in NYC (the "Gayglers"), has worked to develop gender allyship training materials for Googlers globally, and 4 of the last 5 years has been awarded honors at the annual Googleween celebration in New York.
