Stay Healthy All February Long with Campus Recreation

The temperature is dropping all across the country and workouts are moving indoors. Grab your water bottle and check out what the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) has going on this February!  

We are hiring for summer camp counselors! If you are a Georgia Tech student looking for your next on-campus job the CRC is looking for you. With over 300 student staff the CRC provides a fun and flexible environment for you to earn resume building meta-skills and connect with other Tech students." My favorite part of camp is always the kids!! I’ve been with Tech Wreck for multiple years, and I’ve loved getting to know the new campers and seeing returning campers grow throughout the years,” said former counselor and Georgia Tech student Kyra Stompanato. For the adventure seeker, outdoor recreation offers a variety of trips throughout the month of February. Trips include backpacking, vertical caving, cascading, rock climbing, kayaking, and mountain biking. All trips include gear rental, instructions, and transportation, not to mention an expert guide to take you on the journey. These trips are available to all Georgia Tech students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Make sure to come with a sense of adventure and desire to learn something new! If sports are your calling, intramural registration opens this month. Intramurals provide students, faculty, and staff the opportunity for competition and fun in a variety of team and individual sports activities. Registration opens February 11th for softball, 3v3 basketball, 4v4 flag football, sand volleyball, and kickball. Register at crc.gatech.edu/intramural.

Get your group fitness on with a group fitness pass! Group Fitness classes are a great way to change up your workout and take the guesswork out of your exercise routine. Plus, the CRC has over 27 different classes to choose from each week. To purchase your pass visit mycrc.gatech.edu.

Have you always wanted to learn how to swim? The CRC offers instructional swim programs for both members and non-members. Classes are available for children, minimum age of five years, and adults. If you are new to this sport swim lessons are a great way to build up your stamina, learn the different strokes, and most importantly get comfortable in the water. In addition to all of the above, the CRC is a world-class facility offering aquatics programs, fitness classes and programs, competitive sports, and outdoor recreation all semester long.
