Come and nurture (or discover) the superpower within you at our next Impact session: Join Lesley Grady, Senior Vice President of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta for a conversation about how individuals can create better communities through the power of philanthropy and volunteering.

Lesley will talk about the state of the social sector in Atlanta and beyond, the role of community foundations, and about some of the wonderful outcomes of their work over the years. With 25 years of experience creating strategic partnerships to stimulate community and economic growth, Lesley oversees the community impact work of the Foundation, including grantmaking, scholarships as well as multiple community initiatives like the Atlanta AIDS Fund launched in collaboration with United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Immediately prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as an independent contractor providing strategic planning, training and community programming for corporations, nonprofit organizations and governmental entities. She holds a master’s in public policy from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s in English from LaSalle University.

About the Impact Speaker Series:

Since 2002, the Impact Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership." The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and the Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit leaders. The lecture series is sponsored by the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

The series is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
