Primary tabs

This free event opens to public. Attendees must register first.

Ever wonder how CDC scientists merge old-fashioned detective work with cutting-edge science to crack the cases of mystery diseases? Get the Story! Join the Atlanta Chapter of Women In Bio and event partners, Georgia Bio, the Georgia IP Alliance, and the Georgia Global Health Alliance for a tour of the CDC Museum followed by a networking reception.

The CDC Museum tour features the exhibit, Ebola: People + Public Health + Political Will which is an investigation of the historic 2014-16 Ebola Fever Virus epidemic in West Africa, the United States, and around the world.

The museum curator will provide a brief introduction to the exhibit and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the exhibit at their own pace. Following the self-guided tour, we will enjoy a catered reception to facilitate networking with Ebola deployers and multiple Atlanta-based STEM community partners. Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear testimonials from deployers who helped build lab capacity in Sierra Leone and evaluated and assisted in US hospital readiness planning during the Ebola epidemic. Don’t miss this chance to learn from and mingle with CDC experts and Atlanta community leaders.

All attendees must bring a government issued ID to get through security and attend the event. The information on this ID must match the information you provide during registration.
