National Center for Science and Civic Engagement: Science and Engineering for Social Good Conference

This conference will explore strategies to build holistic approaches to education—for both STEM and non-STEM majors (e.g,. STEM-enhanced liberal arts as well as the implications of such highly interdisciplinary and global approaches for education, and the increasingly diverse and global workforce. Leading experts will focus on programs, strategies, and tools for building highly interdisciplinary STEM/STEM-related programs—for majors and non-majors. Presenters include GT SLS and the Vertically-Integrated Projects Program.

**Special Opportunity for SLS-Affiliated Faculty:  If you have worked with SLS to date and would be interested in meeting to discuss participating in an SLS session during the conference, please email us at serve-learn-sustain@gatech.edu to express your interest.  Please hold off on registering if you are possible participating in a sesson.

**Additionally, SLS is pleased to announce that we will sponsor 4 faculty and 1 graduate student to attend. To apply, please mail us at serve-learn-sustain@gatech.edu, and tell us why you would like to attend and what you hope to gain from the conference.  Those selected for sponsorship will be required to submit a blog post for the SLS website about their conference experience and take-aways.
