Georgia Tech Now Part of Futurity News Distribution

Primary tabs

When the Georgia Institute of Technology became a member of the American Association of Universities (AAU) last April, the Institute also became eligible to participate in the organization’s research news initiative known as Futurity.

Futurity was created to aggregate the very best research news produced by the 63 AAU member universities.  Futurity.org , hosted by the University of Rochester, covers research findings on a range of topics including the environment, health, science and society.

According to Futurity founders, the recent decline in science and research coverage by traditional news outlets led to the creation of the website and news distribution initiative. That, combined with the fact that research universities are considered among the most credible and trusted institutions in society, prompted the AAU members to create a vehicle to deliver their news and information directly to readers.
