In Fall 2016, Dr. Shemyakina incorporated Diplomacy Lab Project 112: “Economic Factors of Violent Extremism" into the structure of an existing course as a group research project. In January 2017, a small group of students from this classtraveled to Washington, DC. to present their project results to the U.S. Department of State. This talk will focus on incorporating a Diplomacy Lab Project into an existing class or working on it as a stand-alone project -- including learning approach, logistics, challenges and opportunities.
