Title: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Concerning Mail Survey Research: Results and Lessons of a Contingent Valuation Survey

Carolyn Fonseca is a Ph.D. candidate. She is a research associate for Dr. Doug Noonan working on an NSF funded project on environmental boundaries and scales. Her main concentration is Environmental Policy with a focus on environmental valuation. In addition, she grew up in Honduras and is bicultural, completely fluent in Spanish. Currently, Carolyn is collecting data for her dissertation via a mail survey. Her research focuses the effects of how distance to natural amenities affects individual environmental valuation.
