Britta Kallin, Assistant Professor of German in the School of Modern Languages, has just released her newest book The Presentation of Racism in Contemporary German and Austrian Theater: Six Women Playwrights. Come meet the author at a book signing event at Barnes & Noble Bookstore, March 6, 2008 at 5:30pm.

This study explores the representation of ethnic minorities and the construction of national identities in contemporary plays written by German and Austrian women. The study draws on approaches of cultural and postcolonial studies, African-American and other minority feminist criticism as well as Anglo-American and German feminist scholarship.
