Sexual Assault Awareness Month Action Stories Submissions

Primary tabs

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) takes place nationally every April. Georgia Tech’s sexual violence prevention and response initiative, VOICE, is focusing this year’s SAAM campaign on engaging new voices.

We know that members of our community are taking action in small and big ways to be part of the solution to ending sexual violence at Georgia Tech.

Share with us your story of an action you've taken to change rape culture, prevent sexual violence or support survivors on the Georgia Tech campus. We will share these stories throughout the month of April to encourage others to raise their voice and make a pledge to end rape culture at Georgia Tech.

We can all use our voices to change the culture to prevent sexual violence. Prevention requires addressing the root causes and social norms that allow sexual violence to exist. We’re strongest when we raise our voices together, and that’s why we’re working to engage new groups in this movement. These groups can join us in helping our community foster attitudes that promote healthy relationships, equality, and respect. These new voices will have a ripple effect on those that they teach, guide, and influence.
