2017 CRIDC Conference Showcases Research from Ivan Allen College Graduate Students

The fifth annual Ivan Allen College Career, Research, and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC), held January 27, 2017, at the Stephen C. Hall Building, featured paper presentations from 24 graduate students on a variety of topics ranging from intellectual property to science policy and regulation.

The winners of the paper competition were announced on February 9, 2017, at the campus-wide CRIDC event. They are as follows: 

First Place (tie)

Seok Beom Kwon, Ph.D. student, School of Public Policy
“Strategic Patent Acquisition of Patent Assertion Entities and Defensive Patent Aggregators”

“Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation, and Exports”

Third Place 
Garrett Bunyak, Ph.D. student, School of History and Sociology
“The Diffusion of the Microwave in U.S. Society in Social Context”
