The theme of the 2009 Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy is "Creating the Future through Science and Innovation."

The two-day conference offers a comprehensive look at the ways science and innovation policies can shape the future and address the major challenges facing humanity.

The conference will feature nearly 200 presentations showcasing the work of more than 300 researchers. The international lineup of presenters and speakers will address:

-The effects of globalization on science and innovation
-Achieving common national and global goals through science and innovation
-Changing dynamics among science and innovation organizations, including private firms, universities, and
public laboratories
-Improving the science and innovation workforce
-Regional and international policy actors, agencies, and funding programs
-Methods and data—measuring science and innovation dynamics
