Virginia Tech’s Pratap Tokekar presents a seminar as part of the IRIM Robotics Seminar Series. The event will be held in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, Rooms 1116-1118, from 12-1 p.m. and is open to the public.

Pratap Tokekar is an assistant professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He research in robotics focuses on algorithms that enable mobile robots to actively sense and gather data in environments. Additionally, he develops systems for applications related to environmental monitoring.

After completing his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 2014, Tokekar worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the GRASP lab at the University of Pennsylvania, working with Professor Vijay Kumar.

He received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the College of Engineering in Pune, India, where he was part of the Robot Study Circle lab.
