Potter and Haider AFM white noise

Through the counterintuitive move of adding electronic white noise, Daniel Potter (left) and Ahmad Haider (right) significantly increased the precision of atomic force microscopy to measure the walls of energy wells during molecular interactions. Their advancement could help biotech researchers observe fine details of biomolecular interactions.
