India, China, America Conference on Innovation March 2-3

Emphasizing innovation in higher education is key for Georgia to attract future science and business leaders who may otherwise go to China or India, said Jagdish Sheth, director of the India, China and America Institute, who is organized a conference on the subject March 2-3. The conference, "Education for Innovation in India, China and America," will be held at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta. It will focus on educational strategies for promoting ingenuity and innovation in order to increase national competitiveness and encourage economic development. . .Emory University is "going cautiously" in the direction of student exchanges for science and technology. . .Georgia Tech's H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering has various exchange programs for its engineering and science students in China and other emerging economies, including at its joint logistics institute with the National University of Singapore.
