Applications Open for SGA Committees, Freshman Representatives

Primary tabs

If you’ve wanted to get involved with campus issues but haven’t known where to start, the Student Government Association (SGA) offers a number of opportunities through its campuswide committees.

Committees are now accepting applications for the 2016-17 academic year. Students from all majors and levels of study are needed to participate in the 22 committees.

Apply for SGA committees here.  Applications are due by Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m.

First-year students are also invited to apply for one of four seats available in the undergraduate House of Representatives. SGA representatives play a role in allocating a $5.5 million budget and serve as advocates for the students within their school or program on a variety of campus issues. Learn more about the role of SGA representatives from the SGA site.

Apply as a candidate here. Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 2, at 6 p.m.
