Bio
Karen Houston is academic advisor to first-year students in the College of Architecture as they navigate Common First Year academic requirements and opportunities, and ultimately select either Architecture, Building Construction, or Industrial Design as their majors. She also works with Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions to provide information to prospective undergraduate students who are interested in the College of Architecture’s academic programs. Houston has been with Georgia Tech for more than twelve years serving as academic advisor and program support manager in the School of Building Construction. Houston also is enrolled at Mercer University, where she is pursuing a degree in Human Services.
