Deputy Director of IMat's Innovation Initiatives W. Jud Ready will host a webinar entitled, "Materials and Engineering: Propelling Innovation," March 2 from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

The segment is part of the Materials Research Society (MRS) ongoing webinar series. The discussion will highlight the unique relationship and close intertwining between materials and engineering. Materials enable engineering, and, in turn, engineering depends on materials to transform design concepts and equations into physical entities.

This relationship continues to grow with expanding societal demand for new products and processes. Ready will address how engineering accentuates the properties of materials and how materials inspire innnovations in engineering and technology.
