Steve McDowell, Principal and Director of Design at BNIM, has more than 35 years of experience designing high-performing, sustainable office facilities. McDowell’s unique way of harnessing creativity has pushed the envelope of technical investigation.
BNIM’s approach to architecture and design integrates living environments in a way that leads to vital and healthy organizations and communities. Their work is setting new standards in high-performance design with projects such as The Omega Center for Sustainable Living in Rhinebeck, NY; Qualcomm Building AY in San Diego, CA; and the Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Under McDowell’s leadership, BNIM received the American Institute of Architects Firm Award in 2011.
