Join SCPC for our last movie of the semester as the group NWA emerges from the mean streets of Compton in Los Angeles, California, in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes Hip Hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood. Taking us back to where it all began, Straight Outta Compton tells the true story of how these cultural rebels-armed only with their lyrics, swagger, bravado and raw talent-stood up to the authorities that meant to keep them down and formed the world's most dangerous group, N.W.A.
SCPC wants to invite you to watch this exciting movie with us in the Student Center Theater on November 20th and 21st for $2, cash or buzzcard. Free popcorn will be provided. Showings at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
