Stop, Breathe, & Be: Mindfulness at Work

Primary tabs

Stress plays a powerful role in our lives.  Unmanaged, it can negatively affect our health, relationships, and job performance.  In this class, participants will learn about the physiological response to stress and the ways that a mindfulness practice can help to better manage stress.  In a small group setting, participants will be provided with a variety of practical tools including progressive muscle relaxation, guided visualization, breathing exercises, mindful yoga, and meditation.  Learn about the empirical support for these stress relief techniques and the significant impact of a mindfulness practice.

This small group class will be facilitated by Shelley Senterfitt and Jaclyn DeVore who work with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program to provide counseling to Georgia Tech employees.
