Presentation Description (copied from ADUG):

Filling in the Gaps of Contributed Modules

Grady Wring will discuss how Cool Blue Interactive used contributed modules to build a website that builds other websites in a matter of minutes. While 90% of this site was built using contributed modules, the real magic is in the final 10%, filling in the gaps between module functionality.

Our client had a problem. They had dozens of websites all with the same goals and similar content spread across many different CMS platforms, or no CMS at all, and they all looked completely different from one another.  Cool Blue Interactive was tasked with bringing all of these sites under one roof, so to speak. Our requirements were to rebuild all of these individual sites in Drupal using the same theme, which we could then use for all new sites in the future as well.

While we could have solved this problem several different ways, we chose to use the Domain Access module combined with other contributed modules to build one site instead of many. In this presentation, we will show you how we glued all the pieces together with a few modules of our own to fill in the gaps and create a truly useful tool for our client.
