Bio
Mr. Armento is a serial entrepreneur and investor based in Atlanta. His investments, developments, and startups have generated value in excess of $500 Million over the past 20 years.
In 1994, Mr. Armento co-founded a hotel company called Sun Suites, which became the second-largest economy extended stay hotel chain in America. Today, Sun Suites and its affiliates own and manage more than 175 hotels across the country.
After leaving Sun Suites, Mr. Armento became CEO of WebTone Corporation, which was sold to for more than $90 million to Fidelity Information Services (NYSE: Arca)
Mr. Armento is a frequent Angel Investor/Co-Founder in local technology startups, including:
- Mansell Group (sold to Riverside Partners)
- Avalon Communications (sold to Dell/SecureWorks - NASDAQ: SCWX))
- Enhancement Services Corporation (sold to TSYS - NYSE: TSS))
- Signup4.com (sold to Cvent – NYSE: CVT)
Mr. Armento holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University, and an MBA from Wharton Business School. He has sat on the boards of Saint Joseph’s Hospital Service Corporation, and The Mansell Group, and ALS of Georgia.
