Working efficiently, effectively and in a spirit of partnership, we support people and societies in developing, transition and industrialised countries in shaping their own futures and improving living conditions. This is what the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is all about. Established on 1 January 2011, it brings together under one roof the long-standing expertise of the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED) gGmbH (German Development Service), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH (German technical cooperation) and GIZ – Capacity Building International,Germany. As a federally owned enterprise, we support the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. We are also engaged in international education work around the globe.

The Martin Hilti Foundation promotes the international qualification of junior staff and provides stipends for professional qualification in theUSA, Europe and Asia.
Program objectives
v Development of professional and technical skills
v Familiarization with the European methodologies and applications in work and business
v Improvement of linguistic proficiency
v Shaping of personality
v Understanding of a different culture and a different mentality
v Encouragement of international mobility
v Development of personal ability to handle oneself well in a different socio-cultural environment
v Strengthening of self-assertion and self-confidence
Participants
Priority is given to the following professional groups:
Young professionals who have completed their professional training
Young trainees, students at universities of applied sciences, high school graduates who already have professional work experience or internship experience
v Computer scientists, product managers, marketing managers, logistics specialists, cost controllers, strategic planners, engineers of all fields, graduate students in MBA programs
Prerequisites for application and participation
- Minimum age is 22; maximum age is 28
- Good knowledge of the German language
- Interview by Hilti NorthAmerica,Tulsa
