Knoespel Publishes Essay on Myth in Baltic World

Professor and former LMC Chair, Kenneth Knoespel wrote "The Stuff of Myth and the Baltic Sea," to explore Grass's 1977 novel, The Flounder.
While the title comes from the fairy tale “The Fisherman and His Wife” (Von dem Fischer un syner Fru) collected by the brothers Grimm, the novel itself examines the inadequacy of any single controlling idea of history.
