OSP RCR Workshops: Day 2

Primary tabs

This 2-day Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) workshop led by Dr. Jason Borenstein consists of four one-hour sessions.  To register for a session through OSP Training, click on the links below:

Day 1 (July 11)

11:00 am - 12:00 pm  Mentoring and Collaborative Research

12:00 - 1:00 pm  Authorship

DAY 2 (July 12):

11:00 am - 12:00 pm  Human Subjects Research

12:00 - 1:00 pm  Research Misconduct

The GT RCR Compliance Policy requires students and postdocs funded by certain NSF or NIH projects to complete in-person RCR training**.  This training is a condition of the award and is a GT deliverable.

Each of these workshop sessions satisfies one hour of the requirement.  Applicable students and postdocs who are unable to complete the entire four hour workshop may attend individual one hour sessions.  However, they must accumulate the remaining in-person training hours through other institutional approved means as specified by the GT RCR Compliance Policy.

NOTE:  This workshop does NOT satisfy the in-person training requirement of the GT RCR Academic Policy which applies to all new doctoral students admitted Fall 2011 or later.

For more information, contact Judy Willis (judy.willis@gatech.edu) or Jason Borenstein (borenstein@gatech.edu) or see the GT RCR website.

** Applicable NSF projects require 4 hours of in-person training; applicable NIH projects require 8 hours.  (Applicable projects are flagged with the RCR/Ethics Training requirement in the OSP Contract Information System.)
