Primary tabs

On February 6, 2013, Nagmesh Kumar and Kyungwon Amy Han attended the 3rd Annual Sandy Springs Education Force STEM Event at North Springs Charter High School in Sandy Springs, GA.  Nagmesh and Amy presented a poster about the REARLab.  Students from North Springs learned about various REARLab areas of interest including: wheeled mobility and seating, pressure ulcer prevention and treatment, design of diagnostic tissue interrogation devices, and design of assistive technologies.

The goals of the STEM event were to inspire and educate high school and middle school Sandy Springs students to learn new ideas and concepts in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), to encourage students to see the connection between what they learn in school and their futures, and to enlighten and engage students regarding their short and long term educational and career opportunities in STEM, specifically Health Sciences and Technology.
