"Egg and Stone," directed by Huang Ji, won the Tiger Award for best Feature Film at the 2012 Rotterdam International Film Festival and is also an extraordinarily intimate and powerful debut film by a woman director.
The Independent Chinese Film Series is curated by Qi Wang, of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. Sponsors include the China Research Center, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Georgia State University, and Kennesaw State University.
