Building Construction Doctoral Student wins a National Science Foundation Conference Fellowship

Masoud Gheisari, doctoral student in the School of Building Construction, was recently awarded a conference fellowship by the National Science Foundation, Division of Civil, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Innovation (NSF CMMI). The fellowship will allow Mr. Gheisari to present his research on “An ambient intelligent environment for accessing building information through a mobile augmented reality approach" at the 2012 NSF CMMI Engineering Research and Innovation Conference in July. This research is part of the current research being conducted in the CONECTech Lab, directed by Dr. Javier Irizarry, Assistant Professor in the School of Building Construction. The award was made after a national competition among the best doctoral students in the country.
